In MY neighbourhood.

My house doesn't have a back garden. Unfortunately.

I checked yesterday. The pidgeons all seem to have fled, the magpies are nesting on the roof and there are BLACK RAVENS nesting on the next doors with the big willowy trees. We've got ring tail possums living in the gutter next to the garage.

Cement trucks are also native to my neighbourhood, and cars LOTS OF CARS!

Checklist time! AKA COMMON SIGHTINGS IN MY FRONT YARD

Cars must be the most common living organism in my neighbourhood.
They move
They reproduce. (in factories)
They're sensitive (they stop in front of traffic lights, lights on at night, etc.)

They grow (oh yes CONVERTIBLE, gotta love those)
They respirate (they need oxygen to carry out chemical reactions :D)
They excrete waste (how else do we get greenhouse gases?)
They take in fuel as nutrition

Qualitative observations of my front yard

SO MANY COLOURS +GASP

At 4 am, there's what appears to be a cement mixer parked outside. What I don't get is HOW the cement mixer managed to get to my house. Amazing how the ambient noise is so dramatic.

It could be, I dunno, the setting of a movie.

If you listen closely enough, you can hear me rolling over and attempting to sleep.
I bet the council doesn't care. Suits them.
